In The News.......
Syracuse Hancock Airport is the largest airport in the state still owned by a city.

Syracuse doesn't want to pay the rising tax bill, so their thinking about getting out of the business.

The local town of Dewitt is considering raising the airports property tax bill from $462,455 to a whopping $7,000,000!
We all should have an international airport in our townships!
The city of Syracuse wants the airport off the tax rolls.
Dewitt should be careful! If the airport goes off the tax rolls, then the rest of the town residents will have to pick up the slack!

If the local governments can't afford the taxes, how can we!
The city now knows what the rest of us are going thru!

P.S. To Commissioner Everett….yes, it is extortion, legal extortion, and its something the taxpayers have had to put up with for years. If we don't pay our taxes, they take our homes. If you don't pay your taxes, they'll take your airport!

P.P.S. Maybe if you plant some corn on the land in between the runways, the airport might qualify for the farmers Star program….
(This would be a good idea for a comic on the H-A editorial page.)
